5 creative ways to love your customers

in Be a Fabulous Badass

There is no doubt that social media is fabulous at connecting you to people and brands you may otherwise not encounter. But in maintaining those connections and moving beyond the ‘you’re so awesome’ and ‘great work’ superficiality of it all that we see on a day-to-day basis, nothing beats a personal touch. I work hard to make deeper connections with a smaller group of people and businesses I admire than trying to scratch the surface of everyone I encounter. And, I have a HUGE respect for anyone who makes and effort to do the same with me. And I mean the genuine ones, because I have my b.s. detector on high alert and can spot that faux sincerity a mile off. If that’s your approach then stop it. Now. It reeks of desperation and high school-like please, please like me from a mile off. You know the ones, they only lock in on the people and brands who they stand to personally gain from be it VIP invites or free product or other general somethings for nothing. It makes me puke, I wish people could see through this! But I digress… So what can you do to show love for your

Thank you challenge part 2

in Be a Fabulous Badass

My guest post over on Beautiful You explained the thought process behind my little Summer thank you challenge (search #thankyouchallenge on the twitter) and how blown away I’ve been by the reaction so far. This short stop-motion video I made to show how I folded the hearts using Australian $5 notes. It’s not a tutorial by any means, search on YouTube for that and then you can add it to your bag of essential life tricks!   Like this shiz? Big things are coming!

in Be a Fabulous Badass

Whoa, it’s been a big year! It’s that time again when all bloggers take a look back over the year that was and post the hell out of it but firstly I wanted to start by saying an enormous THANK YOU to you for taking the time to be part of the Foxy and Fabulous community! It wouldn’t be appropriate to write this without a celebratory drink in my hand as I type, so cheers to all of you! Highlights In March of this year I took the plunge and nervously moved my blog to a self-hosted environment and all the anxiety about not being able to manage the technology and back-end of it was just bullshit in my own mind. I can’t recommend it enough! To have full control over the look, feel and functionality has been amazing! I only deleted the whole fucking look and feel of it just once. But I blogged that, in case I ever do it again! I have to give a big shout OUT to BlueHost as their 24/7 live chat help and ridiculously well priced hosting plans have gone a huge way to alleviate any teething anxiety I may have had. Check

I’m dreaming of a White Christmas…

in Be a Fabulous Badass

I have no clue where I first learned of this recipe, but it’s one I’ve adapted into my little book of tricks that my extended family beg me to bring during the festive season! While I follow and IQS lifestyle 85% of the time, many of the people I entertain with don’t. So this is something for those people in your life. I also make it if I’ve been invited over somewhere or want to make a small gift for a friend as opposed to buying something. It’s dead easy, only a few ingredients and as someone who doesn’t ever eat or like white chocolate I have been known to shove a few pieces into my mouth while cutting it up! Ingredients 500gm white chocolate – must have as close to 30gm fat as possible, higher the better. I’ve used all of these, use a  mix and defo include the Green & Blacks because it has vanilla pod seeds in it. Mmmmmm big handful of pistachios (the hulled, cooking variety) big handful of dried cranberries a shit tonne/ approx 1 Cup shredded coconut A slice pan Plastic wrap 1x oven bag or clear cello to wrap + favourite ribbon How to:

I’m dreaming of a crafty Christmas

in Be a Fabulous Badass

I imagine Bing Crosby’s voice in my head when I sing that title, do you? I’m planning something cute and crafty this Christmas. It’s a little top secret for now but I’ve been scouring the interwebs far and wide for weeks collecting ideas and supplies. It’s terribly exciting!! If you’ve been following my previous few posts of what I’m inspired by you’ll see that I’m addicted to paper craft bits and pieces. I mean, seriously addicted. That shiz is like crack for me! One for my most exciting finds was a supplier of my favourite things yet in the world of washi tape, grey packaging and recycled kraft paper products. Of course I dropped some coin on all the things I knew I couldn’t live without and set about stalking my lovely postman for it to arrive from the US. Right when I’d given up all hope of it arriving in time and set about looking for alternatives ~ it arrived!! I’m soooo eternally thankful that it has, my weekend of crafty heaven is on track! Behold… I die for the lace doily stamp!! Grey chevron – swoon! How cute is the washi tape on the packaging?! I can’t decide which bit I
